First Round Robin of the Year
Robin, our Club, Chair writes:
The first Round Robin of the new season saw 12 Members, 6 ladies and 6 gentlemen, play in 6 pairs, 5 games each. On a bright but colder afternoon than of late, the early leaders were 3 couples on 4 points, so with everything to play for after tea, Margaret and Jim, and Julie and George, got their games together.
With 4 teams sitting on 4 points, it came down to the last 3 games with all teams on the green. The triumphant winning couple were Margaret and Jim with 8 points. Runners up were Julie and George with 6 points and an aggregate of plus 8, just pipping Colin and Louise.
The booby prize went to Vera and Robin
