August Round Robin
On Sunday 24th August 15 club members plus Lorna Shields, a visitor from Silverdale Bowling Club, took part in the August Round Robin. The sun was shining, and it was a hot afternoon, but those taking part battled through the heat playing seven rounds of six ends per round. It was especially nice to see Shirley and John Cross who came to enjoy the sunshine, and hopefully the bowling.
The winners were Susan and Charles Ellis with Joyce Hayton and Mike Warwick the runners up. Thanks once again to John Smith for organising the event. Pictured below are Susan and Charles receiving their prizes from Vera Alderson, our Club Captain.
