On Sunday, 23rd August members met for the last Round Robin of the season. There were an equal number of men and ladies, so it was drawn as mixed pairs.

Once again we were blessed with the sunshine, and the games commenced.

At the half way stage members enjoyed refreshments, whilst Colin updated the competition chart.

The winners were Vera Alderson & Colin James, runners up were Mavis Anderton & Mike Warwick.

Many thanks to Colin and Vera for organising the afternoon. Thank you to Joyce and Margaret for scoring and to all members who took part in the competition.

On Sunday 2nd August members took part in the Leasgill Trophy.

We were fortunate to have another sunny afternoon for bowling.

The finalists were Alan Southwell and Martin Tomlinson. Congratulations to Martin on winning the trophy.

A fun afternoon down on the green for our Round Robin held on Sunday 26th July, 2026. A random draw was done, then play commenced.

It was decided a refreshment break would be taken when a shower of rain came.

The winning pair were Vera Alderson and Jim McPoland. Runners up Martin Tomlinson and Brian Harrison.

The 25th July was the date for the 3rd running of our Heversham Open Mixed Pairs Competition.

A full field of 32 pairs played some excellent bowls throughout the day. After four rounds the final was then played between Paul Crossland, Yvonne Gregory and Keith Atkinson, Hazel Borradaile, with Paul and Yvonne running out worthy winners.

We once again had many positive comments on our smooth running of the Competition and our excellent catering.

Thank you to everyone who made this day a great success.
